The timeless pattern which is incorporated into the upper body panels has been created by a textile designer, Jess Zinga, from Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Jess grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches where she spent much of her childhood either outdoors or creating. Following a trip to India her passion for textiles blossomed into a career of print and surface design.

Living by the sea and spending most of her free time exploring nature she draws inspiration from natural elements. The pattern which spreads across the three Ola wetsuits was inspired by wood carvings, textures, and ocean waves. The flowing natural lines of the pattern emulates the everchanging textures in the ocean. This graceful design was paired with a soft colour palate that would complement a variety of skin tones and be at home in all water sports environments.

Zhik is proud to be able to support and work with local creative artists. This collaboration with Jess has given the women’s range of wetsuits a personal and subtle touch to an otherwise technical and high-performance item.
