Lisa comes from a sailing family and grew up racing dinghies on the Derwent River, Tasmania. At UNI she kept her sailing passion, racing larger yachts and competing at an international level in other classes. It was the dynamic, exciting sport of kitesurfing that took her attention and she developed a passion for the disciplines of freestyle and wave riding, Currently based on the Sunshine Coast, Lisa turned her attention to racing last year and is currently the highest ranked Australian, well inside the world’s top 20. Lisa loves the unique mix of tactics, strategy, speed and physical challenge. She is looking forward to mentoring other female riders in Australia as the sport grows in popularity.
