Objective Australia is the Australian Youth America’s Cup team which is seeking selection for the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup due to be held at San Francisco in September 2013. The team is made up of some of Australia’s most talented sailors with backgrounds in both Olympic and big boat sailing. The helmsman is Jason Waterhouse, who is one of the worlds leading youth multihull sailors. Jason won his first world championship when he was 14 years old and is campaigning in the Nacra class for the Rio Olympic games.

 Tom Burton is ranked number 1 in the world in the Laser class and is also campaigning towards the Rio Olympic games. Having racked up a number of ISAF World Cup victories over the years, Tom is now ready to step up as the leading Australian Laser class sailor. Tom has extensive keelboat experience, having competed successfully at world championship level in the Etchells and Farr 40 classes.

 Josh Mcknight won the Moth Class world championships in Lake Garda in 2012 and has extensive multihull experience in the F18 class.

 All other team members have extensive international racing experience in both dinghies and yachts and will prove to be an extremely strong group over the course of the campaign.
