The French Kalix team catamaran is set to sail in the Archipelago Raid 2008 from June 13 to 18. Eric Proust and Romain Motteau will navigate on the Kalix catamaran around the 100,000 Scandinavian islands of the Swedish and Finnish archipelagos for the 8th edition of the Archipelagos Raid 2008. This raid is one of the most extreme sailing races in the world. The biggest names in sailing, such as Ellen Mc Arthur, will compete against less famous but extremely good teams. 18 teams from 9 nationalities will take the challenge just before midsummer, when Scandinavian nights are the shortest, and will have to be both mentally and physically resistant with brief sleep.
