The Molokai Surf Ski World Championship has become the longest running Molokai Race since its inception 37 years ago. Known for its preeminent open-ocean, downwind course, this race has proven to be the premiere surf ski event internationally. Recognized since the 1970’s as the “World Championship” of ski racing, the annual Moloka’i Surf Ski race starts from the Kaluakoi Resort on the Island of Moloka’i and crosses the Kai’wi Channel for 32 miles (51 kilometers) to the finish line at Hawaii Kai Town Center on the Island of Oahu.

This race can be challenging and as a result, has always attracted the world’s very best water men and women. This year proved to be no different, but it was Zhik Team rider and Australian Olympic Gold medallist Clint Robinson who took out coveted title. Clint has won the event two times before and with a third in the bag he is now taking Zhik to the World Paddling Stage. A huge congratulation’s goes out to him from us back here on dry land.
