Good luck to Lisa Blaire on her amazing adventure as she attempts to become only the 3rd person to circumnavigate Antarctica SOLO. She is doing this all to raise awareness for climate change and empower people to take CLIMATE ACTION NOW!
Lisa Blair began sailing professionally in 2006 and has since clocked up more than 50 000 nautical miles of ocean sailing. Choosing the right boat and having the best sailing gear for a challenge of this magnitude is so important. The first time Lisa laid eyes on Climate Action Now (then known as Funnel-Web) she knew she had found her boat. She is a safe, strong and seaworthy vessel that can really go anywhere and do anything.
Lisa will be kept warm and dry with her customized range of Zhik gear as she battles the freezing cold and wet Antarctica elements. Lisa will be using a combination of products from the Hydrobase, Isotak Ocean and Avlare ranges.
She aims to become the first women to:
- Circumnavigate Antarctica solo, non-stop and unassisted,
- Circumnavigate below 45 degrees South,
- Compete in the Antarctica Cup Ocean Yacht Race,
- And, break the current record set by Fedor Konyukhov.
