Nathan Outteridge takes out the Zhik International Moth Australian Championships in Geeling today. Competing in his first Moth event, after only 20 or so hours of training in the boat, he proved what a great sailor he is. He mastered the complexity of a foiling craft and showed great skill in the heavy conditions.

Nathan got a string of seconds behind the British champion, Simon Payne until race 10, when he finally got a bullet to end the series. Simon was driving Andrew McDougall's latest boat design, the Mach 2, and it showed some great promise to become the fastest on the water. Nathan won the event in the Bladerider design.

"It was great to see so much Zhik on the water", said Brian Conolly, founder of Zhik. "The Moth started foiling around the same time that Zhik began making sailing wet gear. We think the Moth and Zhik work perfectly together, and signal the new generation of sailing."
