New Zhik Team members, Olivier & Arnaud, sailed an unbelievable series to clinch the F18 world championship held in Erguy, France. The “Sail Innovation” team finished on top in an unbelievably strong 159 boat fleet to add an F18 World Title to a growing list of achievements throughout their sailing careers.

Their nearest competitor, 21 points astern, was Multihull legend, Darren Bundock sailing with William Howden. Bundock & Howden made a strong start to the regatta with two straight bullets, however Olivier & Arnaud kept their consistency over the course of the event to finish off strongly and claim the World title. Other notable sailors left in the French duo’s wake included, Glenn Ashby who was sailing with Jimmy Spithill, Hugh Styles from Great Britain, Belgian Female legend Carolijn Brouwer, Spainish/Aussie Mitch Booth & the Sach Brothers from Germany.

Olivier & Arnaud have now sailed two Olympic games together in the Tornado class (04 & 08) and Olivier has another two Olympic campaigns to his credit- Laser class in 96 & Tornado class in 2000.   The current French F18 Champions joined the Zhik team four months ago and have been instrumental in assisting Zhik with product R & D in conjunction with Zhik Europe’s Sales Manager, Robert Nagy during that period.

Look out for more multi sailors making the switch to Zhik!
