Young sailor Giovanni Coccoluto has won the Junior World Laser Standard Championships in Argentina. The whole week of racing was marked by difficult weather conditions, severely testing the ability of the sailors. Giovanni won two first and two second places, thus gaining the ability to defend the top step of the podium on the final day of racing. The 29 sailors took to the water on the final day with light winds of 7 knots. The talented Italian's race proved to be an uphill battle, though despite that Giovanni managed to keep up with the Danish and Polish sailors who ended the World Juniors in second and third, finishing the day as a New Champion. "I am very happy to win this World Cup - said Coccoluto - the weather these days were not easy at all, each race was a real battle. The happiness of this victory is also due to the fact that my opponents have proved very difficult to beat. the latest tests were also demanding in terms of nervous, now I'm off the water with the aim of maintaining first place and defend the opponents. the race was very tactical and only at the end I let emotion get the victory. winning the World Juniors in the Laser Standard is a great satisfaction for me since I switched to this class a few months ago.
