Manu & Stéphane have both been sailing for over 15 years on a range of classes such as 420's 470's and 49ers, with Stéphane becoming 470 European Champion in 2002. Both have made it to Olympic games in the past on their own merits. They teamed up for London with solid racing in the past few years, including a 2nd place in the 2010 Euro Championships. Now they have their eyes set on gold in Rio!
Ingrid Petitjean & Nadége Douroux
Ingrid and Nadége started sailing together in '99. Qualifying for France in the 470, however Nadége was too ill to compete. Now campaigning again for London 2012. Results include twice world 470 champions in 2003 and 2007, 2nd at ISAF World Championships in 2002 and 1st in 2006. European 470 Champions in 2005.
Giulia Conti & Giovanna Micol
Giulia and Giovanna are consistently ranked in the top 3 in the ISAF world rankings, coming from some very consistent results in Olympic and World Championship regattas. They narrowly missed out on a medal at London after a solid performance.
Pietro Sibello
The Sibello Brothers are the hottest 49er team in Italy. Having already achieved a Bronze medal at the Athens Olympics 2004. On track to medal in Qingdao 2008, they had a spectacular crash in the medal race. This now famous crash meant that they finished just out of the medals. They are often ranked number 1 in the ISAF World rankings, and nearly always post a podium finish at class 1 49er events, and we expect that they have some great plans for 2013.
