ICHIBAN SWEEP THROUGH TOP OF THE GULF REGATTA
Matt Allens’ Ichiban boat has been tearing up the water in Thailand’s large Top of the Gulf regatta this past week. It was the ninth edition of the regatta and 4 days of great racing were seen. The Volvo 70 Sydney to Hobart veteran scored six firsts from seven races to be the clear class winner, beating local favourites Royal Thai Navy 1, a great result by the skipper and crew.

Guilia Conti has been on the Zhik Team sailing 470’s with fellow Italian Giovanna Micol for many years. They consistently ranked in the top 3 in the ISAF world rankings, coming from some very consistent results in Olympic and World Championship regattas and narrowly missed out on a medal in London after a solid performance. Conti has now teamed up with Francesca Clapich on the new 49er FX Class. They have their eyes set on Rio in 2016 and a Gold Medal for Italy.
